EIT Vestibular Physical Therapy
Diana Cervantes, PT, DPT, ITPT, Certified Vestibular Specialist
Diana is a certified vestibular specialist through Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and a concussion specialist certified in ImPACT testing. She has over 7 years’ experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting as leader of her regional vestibular program. As well as with high schools of Coachella Valley, College of the Desert and professional teams on concussion testing and rehabilitation. She has enjoyed mentoring and training physical therapy students and other professionals interested in a vestibular specialty.
She attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While at Clarkson University, she received numerous awards and scholarships for her leadership skills and academic achievements and participation. She was a leading member of her school’s American Physical Therapy Association Student Representatives, where she helped organize and run a regional student conclave. She was a concussion research assistant for NCAA division 1 ice hockey men’s and women’s teams. As a teaching assistant, she mentored and coached other Doctor of Physical Therapy Students toward success in their academics.
Her undergraduate education began in Flagstaff, Arizona focusing on Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University. She spent a semester working with the athletic trainers for the division 1 Big Sky Conference with extensive experience in taping. Diana continued her education at California State University of Northridge, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Dance. While at CSUN she completed a research internship testing K-2 students in Harter Scale and Test of Gross Motor Development.
When not practicing physical therapy, Diana enjoys outdoor activities including tennis, cycling, hiking and camping. She also likes dancing, attending live performances and going to festivals. At home she delights in gardening, baking, scrapbooking, and sewing.
